We are so tired of being renters. We woke up this morning to our roof leaking and dripping all over the floor. And as much as I love this little house, I hate it and am so over it. I hate that I can’t make any decisions about it, I hate that we are pissing away hundreds of dollars a month for something that isn’t really ours, I hate that our landlords don’t do any up keep and are basically just waiting to retire so they can knock it down, we hate that our neighbors are metres away and you can hear things like car doors. We have only lived here for like 4-5 months, but we are already thinking of making a change.
We have talked in the past about buying, but we have several issues. We don’t want what everyone else wants…we don’t want a little starter home just to have to move again 5 years later. We need land, far far away neighbors and a house that we can grow into that hopefully is in fairly decent condition. With all of these comes the task of money.
Anyways we have looked and found somewhere that suits us very well. We are going to take a look Saturday and it seems like it will have a lot of promise. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is it and it works out and we can afford it without being “house poor”.
2013 here we come, lets hope it treats us as well as 2012 did :)

As anyone who knows me personally, they know I am a major fan of Pinterest! Which is why when planning my wedding I had nearly a million ideas running through my head…from our thumbprint tree guestbook, our photobooth props, to what to put in the bathrooms. I even found Tyler’s wedding ring on Pinterest! Well here it is our Pinterest inspired wedding :) enjoy

What an incredible week and a bit. I have married my best friend and been having the time of my life. We flew to Las Vegas (1st plane ride for me!) and I don’t know if we can top a trip like that. Las Vegas was exhausting, not really a place I would like to live. That being said, I think everyone should save their pennies and go. It was incredible to experience for a week!! We decided to go all out as it was our first trip, our honeymoon and Tyler’s birthday. So we stayed and The Mirage and were spoiled rotten…upgraded to a king sweet and had a corner room with 2 breath taking views, champagne ready waiting at the door. We walked the strip several times, and I’m sure still missed things (it’s huge!). We went to Red Rock Canyon, had the most delicious/expensive dinner of our lives at the Top of the World restaurant in the Stratosphere, a quick visit to the Hoover Dam, went to Grand Canyon, shot some guns at the Gun Store, experienced the lights of old Vegas on Freemont street (which was unexplainable it was so good)….the list goes on and on. We tried to stay busy every single day…and did we ever! The last week and a half has been a dream come true. I love you so much Tyler, you are an incredible person and am so proud to call you my husband! <3

I know I know lately all I do is post about the wedding, well you get one more. We are incredibly fortunate to have the chance to have our wedding photos done in an apple orchard! I’ve started saving inspirations :D I think we may need to bring our lantern from our engagement shoot too!

In exactly one month I will finally be a Mrs!!! So many last minute things to do, this week I was so productive, despite also attempting to move next week (damn landlords…this is the most inconvenient timing for a move!).

This week:
-Hooneymoon booked
-Cake testing and cake ordered
-Decorations for hall figured out/some items bought
-Where wedding photos will take place figured out
-Wedding clutch bought
-Honeymoon attire bought

So many things left to do.
